Why Pay More?
OEM transducers have one of the highest markups of any industrial component you can buy. A high-quality replacement part such as this can result in significant savings, plus some of our customers tell us these converters run cooler and last longer than the OEM transducers they replace.
Fully Compatible
Directly replaces Dukane model 41C30 transducer as used with most Dukane 20kHz generators.
The standard Dukane 41C30 style transducer is not as well cooled as it could be because it uses the same housing as the press-mounted model intended for intermittent operation. For press-mounted intermittent applications the large cooling holes at top and bottom of the housing wall and cooling holes in the top plug are the right way to do things. Â
Â
CAUTION: IF YOU ARE RUNNING A 41C30 STYLE TRANSDUCER BUT NOT RUNNING COOLING AIR AT THE PROVIDED FITTING THE COOLING CAP MAY CAUSE YOUR TRANSDUCER TO ACTUALLY RUN HOTTER. THERE IS NO WARRANTY ON AN OVERHEATED TRANSDUCER.
Â
For continuous ultrasound operations the inclusion of the connector and air fitting on the standard 41C30 style transducer are necessary, but the use of compressed air to cool the source of heating within the transducer itself (the ceramics) is not very efficient Most of the compressed air bounces off of the back of the rear driver slug and then finds its way out the upper row of side holes or the holes in the back plug (white plastic disc).Â
Â
What the cooling cap does is cover the upper side holes and the holes in the back plug and forces all of the compressed air going into the housing to flow out the lower row of cooling holes ensuring contact between moving cooling air and the ceramics. The cooling cap is made of PETG with a softening temperature of 80C. If the cooling cap could somehow be heated by your transducer to 80C the ceramics have already de-poled and you no longer have a working transducer.
Â
We are offering the cap as a no-cost upgrade to anyone who purchases a AM30122C (41C30 replacement) transducer. The caps are also available for purchase to retrofit to transducers in the field that had been previously purchased without.
Â
So you have a choice. We could ship you the standard version or we could ship the version with the cooling cap installed.Â
IF YOU WANT THE COOLING CAP INSTALLED ON YOUR TRANSDUCER YOU MUST LET US KNOW ON YOUR ORDER.
